EU hosting and data location

We describe Pathon as EU-hosted. This page explains exactly what that covers, and where a provider outside the EU is involved.

In short

  • The demo form’s server code runs in Vercel’s Frankfurt region, in Germany.
  • The pages themselves are static files, delivered by Vercel’s global network from the location nearest to each visitor.
  • Some providers we rely on are US companies (Vercel, Resend, Google and Anthropic). Where data reaches them, the transfer is covered, where applicable, by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by Standard Contractual Clauses.

The Pathon assistant for clients

When we set up an assistant for a business, its conversations pass through these providers:

Providers involved in running a client’s Pathon assistant
TaskProviderWhere
Writing repliesAnthropic (AI models)United States
Automation and passing on enquiriesMakeEU region where available
Bookings (Pro and Business)The client’s own calendar or booking systemWhere that provider runs it
Integrations (add-on)The client’s own CRM or e-shopWhere that provider runs it
ChannelsMeta (Instagram, Messenger) and the client’s own websiteThe platforms’ own infrastructure

Anthropic’s models run in the United States, so a message a customer types to the assistant is sent there to write the reply.

The assistant collects only what it needs for its task, such as a customer’s name, contact details and what they are asking about, and we agree with each client what is kept and for how long.

Transfers outside the EU

Where personal data is processed by a provider in the United States, the transfer relies, where applicable, on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (for providers certified under it) or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

If your business needs stricter terms, such as specific retention periods, tell us before setup and we will discuss what is possible.

Version history

  1. Removes the lead log; adds bookings and the integrations add-on.

  2. New version. Replaces the two earlier hosting pages and names every provider and where it runs.
